It's lovely to receive meaningful gifts at Christmas time, but here's an idea you may find of interest. Instead of buying each other Christmas Gifts last year (more wine anyone?), a group of my friends and I decided on a different idea. Each year we would use the money we would have spent on each other to purchase a ticket each to a charity function. That way we all get to enjoy a night out together with money going to a good cause. Early 2011 we all attended "MAGIC", a WACCI fundraiser for the Olivia Newton John Cancer and Wellness Centre. We all dressed up and wined and dined into the night enjoying the company of good friends and knowing that our money was going somewhere it was really needed.
